Two Tiers. Every Feature.
No per-seat charges. No hidden costs. Chat carries separate input and output token rates; the Curriculum Taxonomy API is priced per request — both drawn from one prepaid balance.
Taxonomy API
Curriculum standards data is normally sold as an annual enterprise licence, with pricing behind a sales call. The Gyanis Taxonomy API is self-serve: structured Board > Grade > Subject > Unit > Topic data — plus exam-track weightage for JEE/NEET — priced per request from your existing credit balance, with no contract and no minimum term.

Pricing Questions
Common questions about billing, tiers, and token credits.
A token is roughly 4 characters or 0.75 words of text. Input tokens (your prompt) and output tokens (the AI response) are billed at different rates. A typical student question and answer uses approximately 500-1,500 tokens combined.
You purchase token credits in advance. Each API request deducts the actual tokens consumed from your credit balance based on the tier-specific input and output rates. When credits reach zero, requests return a 402 error. Webhook notifications alert you when credits are running low.
Chat usage has no free tier — the minimum purchase is just 100,000 tokens, which is enough to fully test your integration before scaling up. Taxonomy API requests are different: the first 10,000 request units each month are free per tenant. Use test-mode API keys to skip billing entirely during development.
API requests will return a 402 error with the code "insufficient_credits." You will receive a webhook notification when credits are low and again when they are depleted, giving you time to purchase more.
Prepaid token credits are non-refundable. We recommend starting with a smaller purchase to estimate your usage before buying larger volumes.
For purchases above 100 million tokens, contact our sales team for custom pricing. Enterprise agreements with committed usage receive volume discounts and per-tenant pricing overrides.
Taxonomy API calls are billed per request unit from the same prepaid token-credit wallet as chat — no separate balance. A request unit is one billable item: one API call, or one topic ID inside a batch resolve. Basic units (hierarchy lists, topic detail, exam-track lists) cost 100 credits — $1.00 per 1,000. Enriched units (topic context, search, exam-track coverage, change deltas) cost 400 credits — $4.00 per 1,000. Your first 10,000 request units each month are free, and test-mode keys are never billed.
The full curriculum hierarchy — Board, Grade, Subject, Unit, Topic — for Indian and international boards (CBSE, ICSE, state boards, IGCSE, IB), plus exam tracks with per-topic weightage for JEE/NEET-style exams. Data freshness is handled for you: poll GET /taxonomy/changes for deltas, or subscribe to the taxonomy.updated webhook to be notified when curriculum data changes.
